ASH FLAT, Ark. — The Sharp County Sheriff’s Office has released its weekly report on community service hours, noting that inmates completed 320 hours of service between Sept. 21 and Sept. 27, 2025.
According to Chief Deputy Kevin “Bart” Simpson, the hours were spent on several local projects, including work at Tri County Recycling and assistance during Hardy Homesteaders Day. The efforts were coordinated under the direction of Brian Watson.
The community service program allows inmates to pay off fines while giving back to the county through work that benefits residents and local organizations.
Sheriff’s officials said the program continues to provide both accountability and positive contributions to Sharp County.
