SHARP COUNTY, Ark. — According to Chief Deputy Kevin “Bart” Simpson with the Sharp County Sheriff’s Office, the following individuals were incarcerated between Dec. 29, 2025, and Jan. 12, 2026.

Shalon Applegate, 43, of Highland, failure to appear (misdemeanor) on contempt for failure to pay restitution, public intoxication, open container of alcohol in a vehicle, and failure to register a vehicle.

Evalena Begin, 30, of Jonesboro, maintaining a drug premises near a drug-free zone, possession of firearms by certain persons, possession of drug paraphernalia for manufacturing methamphetamine or cocaine, and possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance (methamphetamine or cocaine) less than 2 grams.
