Sharp County Sheriff’s Office Makes Arrest in Hardy Burglary Case

Ash Flat, AR – The Sharp County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a Concord man in connection with a recent commercial burglary that occurred in Hardy, Arkansas. The arrest follows a successful multi-agency investigation involving law enforcement from across the region.

On June 17, 2025, deputies apprehended Loren Anthony Sharp, age 33, of Concord, without incident. He is currently being held at the Sharp County Detention Center on charges of Commercial Burglary, Arson, and Criminal Mischief in the First Degree.

The arrest stems from a burglary reported at 202 Cope Avenue in Hardy and was made possible through the coordinated efforts of the Hardy Police Department, Concord Police Department, Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office, and Prosecuting Attorney Drew Smith’s 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force.

“This case is an excellent example of what can be accomplished through cooperation among agencies,” said Sheriff Mark Counts. “We are grateful to our partners in Hardy, Concord, Cleburne County, and the 16th Drug Task Force for their swift response and support throughout the investigation.”

As the investigation continues, authorities have identified Michael Dawson, age 37, of Batesville, as a person of interest in the case. Efforts to locate Dawson are ongoing, and officials warn that additional charges may be filed as the case develops.
