A 40‑year‑old Ava man suffered minor injuries Saturday evening when his pickup overturned on Highway T, six miles southeast of Sparta.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the eastbound 2011 Ford F‑250 traveled off the roadway around 6:10 p.m. and overturned down an embankment. The driver, who was not wearing a safety device, was transported by personal vehicle to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment.

The truck was totaled and towed from the scene by Henry’s Towing.
