$2500 Raised for St. Jude at Turkey Trot

The Thanksgiving Morning St. Jude Re-Run Turkey Trot was held Thursday morning, where participants were invited to walk, run, or jog 1 mile or a 5K with us to get the day started off right and help raise money for St Jude.

Event organizer, Alicia Gunter, tells Ozark Radio News, “We had an awesome turnout, about 130 people, which was the biggest we’ve had in West Plains in a while. And we raised $2500 for St. Jude, so I just feel like the combination of Thanksgiving morning and raising money for St. Jude is such a amazing combination- people coming out and helping people in need.”

Finishers received a long-sleeve event tee and a new repurposed medal from another event with a St. Jude ReRun sticker on the back. All participant fees are being donated to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
