West Plains City Council Presented with the Creative Community Award

From the City of West Plains:

Last night, West Plains City Council was formally presented with the Missouri Arts Council Creative Community Award for 2026, along with the official state resolutions recognizing this honor.

We want to thank the West Plains Downtown team and everyone involved in representing our community in Jefferson City and bringing this recognition home. This designation reflects years of steady work to grow arts and culture in West Plains, from downtown projects and public spaces to local events and creative partnerships.

We’re proud to see that work recognized at the state level and grateful to the artists, organizers, businesses, volunteers and community members who continue to invest in making West Plains a place where creativity has room to grow.

Congratulations to everyone who helped make this possible.
