9 & 10-year-old Juveniles Injured in Two Vehicle Crash

Summersville, MO. – A pair of Salem, Missouri juveniles have been injured in a two vehicle crash that happened yesterday, June the 6th, at roughly 5:20PM.

A 2002 Jeep Wrangler was traveling southbound on Missouri Highway 17 when it crashed into a 2000 GMC Sierra, driven by a 17 year-old juvenile from Eminence.

The driver was Samuel Jordan, 40 of Salem, Missouri. The crash occurred as the juvenile driver failed to yield and pulled into the path of Jordan’s vehicle. Both drivers were uninjured in the crash; however, Jordan was traveling with two minors, a 9 and 10-year-old, who were injured in the crash.

The 9-year-old sustained serious injuries, and the 10-year-old sustained minor injuries. Both were transported to Mercy St Francis Hospital in Mountain View by the Summersville Police Department for treatment.

This accident was investigated by Trooper J.J. Smith of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G.
