From the City of West Plains:
The City of West Plains Utilities will soon begin draining the Aid Water Tower as part of scheduled maintenance on the tank. During this process, you may notice increased water flowing along nearby roads and into storm drains, this is an expected part of the procedure.
This maintenance will allow the tank to be thoroughly cleaned, inspected, and relined to ensure long-term reliability and safe water storage for our community. It is also a key component of our ongoing efforts to meet and exceed Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MoDNR) requirements.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete this important work for the continued safety and service of our water system.
