Another Inmate at SCCC Dies, According to Reports

Licking, MO. – According to a recent release of information from the South Central Correctional Center in Licking, another inmate was pronounced dead in the facility.

This announcement was made at 6:06am on Thursday, May 30th. The inmate found dead was Cole Roettgen, DOC No. 1072160. Roettgen was a 42-year-old resident inmate serving an 18-year sentence on charges including Possession of a Controlled Substance, Attempted Stealing, Stealing, and Resisting Arrest from Saline and Clay Counties.

Roettgen was received into the Department of Corrections on June 25th, 2020.

As with others where a death by natural causes cannot be explained, an autopsy will be later conducted.
