According to the indictment, the incident occurred on August 6, 2025, while the defendant was housed in the Douglas County Jail. Prosecutors allege he called his father and attempted to influence a key witness in an active case, a third‑degree domestic assault prosecution.
Investigators say the defendant urged his father to tell the victim to contact the prosecuting attorney and state she was not pressing charges, adding that “as long as she calls and says she’s not pressing charges, they won’t have a case.”
All charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
