An accident in Douglas County has left a Ava woman with moderate injuries. The accident occurred when the 39-year-old Ava woman exited her vehicle while it was still in gear, was struck by the vehicle and the vehicle continued to move until it came to rest in a pond.
She was transported by Douglas County Ambulance to a Springfield Hospital for Treatment of moderate injuries.
