Baxter Health Welcomes James Day, MD, to Cardiothoracic Surgery Program

Baxter Health is pleased to welcome James Day, MD, to our cardiothoracic surgery program. With the addition of Dr. Day and the continued excellence of current providers Natalie Ostro, MD, F. Michael Bauer, MD, and G. Phillip Schoettle, MD, Baxter Health further strengthens its commitment to delivering exceptional cardiothoracic care.

Dr. James Day most recently practiced at St. Louis University Division of Cardiac Surgery in Saint Louis, Missouri, and at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri. Dr. Day received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He completed his general surgery internship and residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, where he also pursued a research fellowship. Dr. Day then completed a cardiothoracic surgery residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Additionally, he holds a fellowship in Integrative and Complementary Medicine from the University of Arizona in Tucson. His diverse training enables him to deliver compassionate, individualized care for patients with a wide range of thoracic and cardiovascular conditions.

Outside of caring for his patients, Dr. Day enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and motorcycling.
