The Missouri State Highway Patrol tells Ozark Radio News that a Birch Tree teen was injured while trying to avoid hitting a deer on Highway MM, eight miles southwest of Birch Tree. The 19-year-old man’s vehicle skidded across the roadway before traveling into a ditch, overturning and striking a fence. He was taken by private vehicle to Mercy St. Francis with moderate injuries.
