City of Mountain View officials have released an update on the financial impact of Winter Storm Fern, reporting significant increases in electrical demand and infrastructure strain during the event.
According to the City, unusually high usage resulted in approximately $221,000 in excess electrical costs, along with an additional $12,000 in direct expenses tied to damaged power lines within city limits.
City leaders emphasized that none of these costs will be passed on to residents or local businesses. The City will absorb the full amount, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining reliable service while protecting customers from financial burden.
