Mayor Topliff Declares April 2nd Autism Acceptance Day in West Plains

From the City of West Plains:

Yesterday, Mayor Mike Topliff had the opportunity to spend time with the students and staff of the Ascend Program at the Neurodiversity and Autism Center on the campus of Missouri State University-West Plains.

During the visit, Mayor Topliff proudly proclaimed April 2 as Community Autism Acceptance Day in West Plains.

Observed each year on April 2, World Autism Acceptance Day marks the beginning of World Autism Month, a time dedicated to promoting understanding, acceptance, and inclusion for individuals with autism.

We are grateful for the students, educators, and advocates in our community who continue to lead with compassion, build connections, and remind us of the importance of celebrating what makes each of us unique.

West Plains is stronger because of you.
