MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. — One of the region’s hottest events is coming to Hickory Park on Saturday, August 9, as Burning in the Mountains Hot Sauce Festival sets the stage for a full day of fiery food, fierce competition, and family fun — all with free entry.
The festival kicks off at 9:00 a.m. with gates opening and local vendors ready to welcome visitors. The day’s schedule includes spicy challenges, expert appearances, and tasting opportunities sure to delight chili lovers and heat seekers alike.
Event Highlights:
- 10:00 a.m. – Spicy Wing Q&A with a World Chili Champion, inspired by the Hot Ones interview series
- 11:00 a.m. – Hot Sauce Judging: Sample and vote for your new favorite bottle
- 12:00 p.m. – Spicy Wing Contest with a $100 cash prize
- 1:00 p.m. – League of Fire Pepper Eating Competition
- 2:00 p.m. – FireHub Amateur Pepper Eating Contest, offering a $200 prize and bragging rights
In addition to the competitions, attendees can enjoy free samples, festival merchandise, food vendors, live music, and activities for all ages throughout the day.
