Mountain View residents will have the chance to clear out extra household waste next week as the city hosts its annual Spring Cleanup. The event runs April 20th through 24th and is available to residential customers with active city trash service. Businesses and landlords are not eligible.
City crews will pick up additional items on each resident’s normal trash day, with a two‑yard limit—about the size of a level pickup bed. Waste must be sorted into categories, including regular trash, large items, brush, metal goods, recyclables, tires, car batteries, and used oil.

Hazardous materials such as chemicals, paint, and pesticides will not be accepted. City officials remind residents to box and label broken glass to protect sanitation workers.
