Community Foundation of The Ozarks begins fiscal year with $549 million in assets

WEST PLAINS, MO- The Community Foundation of The Ozarks is beginning the 2026 Fiscal year with not only new board members, but nearly $550 million in assets.

As announced on Friday, longtime West Plains educator & director of The Southern Missouri Technical Institute director, Josh Cotter joined the board along with four other three-year term members on July 1st.

The foundation ended the 2025 fiscal year with $549 million in assets under management. This was boosted by $64.9 million in gifts and 12.2 % growth for funds in it’s diversified growth pool.

$53.8 million dollars was given towards grants, scholarships, and charitable distributions to improve quality of life for charitable donors. These preliminary figures will soon be finalized in the December 2025, yearly Fiscal year report.

The CFO also recently approved initial grant programs for 2025-26 supported by a $5.4 million grantmaking budget. For more information, visit cfozarks.org.
