Dangerous Chemicals Found in Auctioned Antique Bottles

Thayer, MO. – The Oregon County Recycling facility is asking for the public to be on the lookout for antique bottles that were sold at an auction Monday night that could both contain and be leaking dangerous chemicals.

The chemicals in the bottles are believed to include mercury, cyanide, chloroform, arsenic, and strychnine. None of these substances should be handled without proper protective equipment, as they can enter the bloodstream through contact alone.
