Doniphan, MO. – On June 13th, a Doniphan man was arrested after being found to be in possession of drugs and a stolen vehicle.
This began with Doniphan PD following William Morehead, 28 of Doniphan, after he had been acting in a suspicious manner. The license plate of the Buick Regal being driven was ran and was found to have been reported stolen, which led to a traffic stop.
During the stop, Morehead admitted to knowing the vehicle was reported as stolen, as he had taken it as a result of an argument he had had with an ex.
A later search of the vehicle revealed multiple drugs being found.
Morehead is facing charges including Felony 1st degree Tampering with a Motor Vehicle, two counts of felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of drug Paraphernalia with a Prior Drug Offense.
