Douglas County Deputies Arrest Non-Compliant Sex Offender After Trespassing Incident

Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office arrested Lloyd Rideeoutte late Thursday night following a trespassing complaint and attempted escape from law enforcement.

At approximately 10:14 p.m., deputies responded to a residence after a caller reported a disoriented male with blood on his chest knocking on her door and requesting a ride. Upon arrival, Deputies James Pueppke and Shawn Wilson located the suspect hiding in tall grass near the property. When approached, the man—later identified as Rideeoutte—attempted to flee but was restrained after a brief struggle. Officers noted a strong odor of alcohol on his person.

Sergeant Aaron Box later identified Rideeoutte from prior encounters. Dispatch confirmed Rideeoutte is a non-compliant sex offender out of Greene County with an active stop-and-detain order. Rideeoutte told deputies he was homeless and had hitchhiked into Douglas County earlier that day.

The homeowner reported hearing tapping on her back window earlier in the evening and expressed intent to press trespassing charges.

Rideeoutte was transported to the Douglas County Jail and booked on a 24-hour investigative hold. He faces charges of first-degree trespassing and resisting arrest or detention.
