Driver Found to be in Possession of a Controlled Substance at Willow Springs Weigh Station

On Wednesday Corporal Weakly of the Missouri State Highway Patrol was called to the Willow Springs Weigh Station to assist Commercial Vehicle Officer Smotherman with the search of a bag that contained marijuana and an unknown substance.

Upon search of the bag a plastic bag containing a one-dollar bill and a white crystalline substance was found along with marijuana. The white substance later tested positive as meth. The driver, 34-year-old Charles Barrett was place under arrest and transported to the Howell County Jail on a 24 hour hold.
