DWI and Weapon Charges in Friday Traffic Stop

On August 15, 2025, Trooper J. Healy of the Missouri State Highway Patrol stopped a white Chevrolet Equinox on U.S. 63 near Ramsuer Road after it crossed the center line. The driver, Robert Ray Maclin, a convicted felon, admitted to carrying a firearm. Trooper Healy recovered a Ruger .45 pistol from Maclin’s waistband and later found a Smith & Wesson .38 revolver in his boot.

Maclin showed signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests. He was arrested and consented to a blood draw, with evidence sent to the state crime lab.

Maclin was charged with:
• 2 counts of unlawful possession of a firearm (Class C felonies)
• Driving while intoxicated (Class B misdemeanor)
• Failure to drive on the right half of the roadway
He was processed at the Howell County Jail.
