A Eminence man was arrested Saturday night after a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 63 led deputies to methamphetamine and multiple controlled substances.
According to a probable cause statement from the Howell County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Austin DeShazo stopped a red Chevrolet Silverado around 9:28 p.m. on February 21 after noticing the truck had only one working headlight. The driver, identified as Len Eugene Bolin, also had a vehicle registration that returned to a different vehicle.
Deputies say Bolin consented to a search of the truck. On the center console, DeShazo located a cigarette pack containing a small bag of white crystalline shards. After Bolin was taken into custody, a search of his person reportedly uncovered an orange container holding one hydrocodone tablet and three clonazepam tablets, along with a metal tube containing white powder.
Both the crystalline substance and powder tested positive for methamphetamine using field tests and a TruNarc analyzer. Deputies reported the combined weight at 1.10 grams.
Bolin is charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, along with violations for failure to display lighted lamps and failure to register a motor vehicle.
