GLENCOE, Ark. – The Glencoe Fire Department is inviting the community to come hungry and leave happy at its upcoming fish fry fundraiser on Saturday, Aug. 23, from 4 to 6 p.m., with proceeds going toward the department’s new Junior Fire Fighters program.
The fundraiser will feature plates of fried fish, hush puppies, coleslaw, dessert, and a drink for $15. Tickets can be purchased from members of the Glencoe Fire Department Auxiliary. The event will be held at the Glencoe Fire Department, located at 101 Quilt Palace Road in Glencoe.
The Glencoe Junior Fire Fighting Program will be the recipient of all proceeds. Organizers say the program will help engage and train young people in the community who are interested in fire service, providing them with valuable skills and hands-on experience.
