On Tuesday, a Fulton County Man was arrested for sexual assault of a 6-year-old minor.
The arrest happened just South of the Missouri border, roughly 7 miles South of Lanton. The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of the accusations on sexual assault on Friday, and initiated their investigation on Pigeon Hollow Trail.
According to testimony, Jansen Smith, 33, is accused of multiple counts of sexual assault of a minor, where he forced the minor to engage in sexual contact. Smith rebutted the multiple accusations, stating other males had initiated the assaults.
These events had been going on possibly as early as spring of last year.
Jansen is being charged with two felony counts of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault, and his bond is set at $100,000.
