Hardy’s Griffin Park to Host New Moon Gathering with Fire, Food, and Music

HARDY, Ark. — The Spring River Collective is inviting the community to gather under the night sky for its monthly New Moon Gathering this Saturday August 23rd at Griffin Park, located at 300 Stone Creek Rd Hardy, Arkansas.

Guests are welcome to spend the day swimming in the Spring River before the evening festivities begin. A special musical performance will take the stage at 7 p.m., followed by a community fire around 8 p.m. to celebrate the New Moon. Attendees are encouraged to bring drums, instruments, blankets, or folding chairs. Camping is also available at the park.

The evening includes a potluck-style dinner, and participants are asked to label dishes as vegetarian or alpha-gal friendly. Marshmallows, s’mores, and light refreshments will be provided.

Organizers emphasize that this is a free event, and no one will be turned away. However, donations for the venue and tips for the musicians are encouraged to support the continuation of the monthly gatherings.

The Spring River Collective plans to host the New Moon Gathering each month on the night of the new moon, making it a recurring community tradition in Hardy.
