Hootin’ an Hollarin’ Quilt Competition Submission Deadline Tuesday

Mark your calendar for September 15, 16 and 17 for Hootin’ and Hollarin’ and the Quilt Show will be in the same building as last year on the east side of the square.    Quilts are an important part of the heritage here in the Ozarks and a highlight of the Hootin’ and Hollarin’ Festival.  There will be quilts created by the ladies, men and children as old as 90 and young as 9 who spend many hours creating works of art in cloth.

The show is an inspiration to those who have yet to catch the bug of quilting.  Submit your creation for the visitors to admire.  The only condition is that it has never been in the quilt show before.  The judging schedule is a little different than in the past.

Quilts need to be brought in on TUESDAY Sept. 13 between 10 am and 5 pm on the east side of the square between Park Place Realty and Sweet Little Things Bakery.   Look for the Quilt Show Sign in the window. This will give the judges time to do their judging on Wednesday and time to hang the quilts on Thursday to be ready for opening.

If there is space, Antique quilts for display are welcome but are not judged.

10 categories to cover anything you can quilt.  There will be special ribbons for Judges’ Choice, Best in Show, and Peoples’ Choice.

The show times are Thursday September 15th 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday September 16th 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
