HOUSTON, Mo. — Residents of the city of Houston approved the continuation of a sales tax used for road and sidewalk improvements during Tuesday’s municipal election.
The final unofficial total for the election was 118-43.

The quarter-cent tax is on retail sales or services, and was extended by voters for five years.
