Howell Co. announces three more COVID-19 cases

The Howell County Health Department has been notified that an additional three county residents have tested positive for COVID-19. This brings the year to date total to 48.

Five of the cases in the county are categorized as active or are on isolation. Forty-three are now successfully off of isolation.

Case number 46 resides in the West Plains area and is following public health guidance.  The infection is thought to be related to recent out of state travel. The contact tracing indicates that there is no concern of exposure to the general public associated with this case.

Cases 47 and 48 are household contacts in the West Plains area. They are isolating at home under public health guidance. The source of the infection is believed to be community spread.  Contact tracing indicates that community exposures are limited to the following locations:

Sunday, July 5th — 2:00pm to 2:45pm — Cloud 9 Restaurant

Sunday, July 5th — 3:00pm to 3:30pm — Dollar General Caulfield

Close contacts to all cases have been notified by the Howell County Health Department.
