Howell County COVID-19 report: Six additional deaths, 22 new cases

The Howell County Health Department reports that an additional 22 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county. This brings the year to date total number of cases to 2,165.  Currently, there are 135 known active cases in Howell County. Of these 135, seven are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. The county is also reporting six additional deaths bringing the year to date total to 53.

Of the new cases: 15 reside in West Plains, Three live in Willow Springs, two live in Bakersfield, one live in Mountain View,  and one lives in Caulfield. Positive cases and significant exposures to cases have been notified and have been placed on isolation or quarantine.

of the new 22 cases: 11 are considered community spread, where the source of the infection is unknown, and 11 cases that have been linked to known cases.
