The National Weather Service in Springfield has announced that even after the rain we recently received, increased fire risks will likely be present in Missouri and Arkansas today and through the weekend.
While most of the risk lies in the western sections of the state and into Kansas, high winds and dry air will be making favorable conditions for fire to spread.

Main days of concern lie primarily with today and Sunday, with possible fire risk into next week approaching Christmas.
