A 13‑year‑old girl from West Plains was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield after a utility vehicle overturned late Friday morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Troopers report the crash happened at 10:40 a.m. on April 3 along County Road 8840, about two miles south of West Plains. A 14‑year‑old female was driving a 2021 Coleman utility vehicle westbound when she attempted to make a left turn. The vehicle began to slide and overturned.
The 13‑year‑old passenger sustained moderate injuries and was transported by air ambulance to Mercy in Springfield.
