Mammoth Spring Announces Fall, Winter 2026 Events

MAMMOTH SPRING, Ark. — The Mammoth Spring community will continue a full calendar of events into the fall and winter months, highlighted by annual traditions, outdoor activities and seasonal celebrations.

September begins with one of the area’s signature events. The Mammoth Spring Chamber of Commerce will host the 42nd Annual Antique and Classic Car Show on Sept. 5 at the Mammoth Spring State Park ball field. Gates open at 7 a.m.

Community service opportunities continue Sept. 9 with the Great Spring River Clean-Up at 9 a.m. at the Welcome Center, where volunteers will assist park staff in cleaning multiple river access points.

On Sept. 12, Art in the Park invites participants to create their own artwork inspired by Mammoth Spring State Park. The event begins at 3 p.m. at the Welcome Center. A $10 fee applies, and reservations are required.

Families can enjoy Movie in the Park on Sept. 19 near the ball field, followed by Fish Fest on Sept. 26 at the Mammoth Spring Federal Fish Hatchery. The event includes free fishing for youth ages 15 and under from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

October brings a mix of educational and seasonal events. On Oct. 3, Birds of Prey will feature live birds presented by the Raptor Rehab Center of Central Arkansas at 1 p.m. at Mammoth Spring State Park. The event is free to the public.

An Adopt-A-Highway Clean-Up is scheduled for Oct. 15 at 9:30 a.m. at Welcome Center #4.

Fall festivities continue Oct. 17 with “Falloween” at the state park pavilion from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Activities include learning about bats, building bat houses, hayrides and a pumpkin decorating contest. Reservations are required.

The annual Mammoth Spring Spooktacular will be held Oct. 24 from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. along Downtown Main Street.

Holiday events begin in December with a Holiday Open House at the Mammoth Spring Federal Fish Hatchery, with date to be announced. The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

On Dec. 5, Mammoth Spring will host a Railroad Christmas Celebration, featuring evening caroling, a lighted Spring Lake hike and visits with Santa at the depot.

The Mammoth Spring Christmas Parade is set for the evening of Dec. 12 along Downtown Main Street.

That same weekend, Dec. 12 and 13, VFW Post 7831 will host a gun show.

The season concludes Dec. 15 with the VFW Toys for Joy event from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the VFW.

The remainder of the 2026 calendar reflects Mammoth Spring’s continued commitment to community engagement, outdoor recreation and family-friendly events throughout the year.
