Deputies were dispatched shortly before noon after a reporting party said the victim had messaged her on Facebook, stating that Bond was “out of control” and later that he had a knife and was threatening to stab her. When Corporal Jacob Hamby arrived, he reported that Bond appeared severely intoxicated, could barely stand, and admitted he had a knife in his shorts. Bond allegedly told the deputy he wanted to stab himself and asked the deputy to shoot him, later clenching his fist and asking, “If I hit ya will you kill me?”

The victim told deputies her son had been drinking all night and became agitated that morning, standing over her with a cigarette and a knife while saying, “You want to die?” She reported that Bond repeatedly stabbed the floor and a table near her bed. Deputies noted the victim is disabled and feared she would be stabbed.

Bond was taken into custody after attempting to retreat into the residence. Prosecutors have charged him with Unlawful Use of a Weapon – Exhibiting and Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree.

The case was electronically filed in Howell County on March 11
