Mansfield, MO. – A one-vehicle crash happened on New Years Day at roughly 6:15pm, wherein an occupant sustained moderate injuries.
The driver was Dennis Kirby, a 62-year-old man from Macomb, MO, who was driving a 1996 Chevy Silverado. Kirby failed to stop at a stop sign on Highway F, went through the intersection and struck a guardrail.
Kirby was uninjured in the crash, but one occupant, 52-year-old Carrie Blue of Rogersville, was inflicted with moderate injuries. She was transported to Cox South in Springfield for recovery. Kirby was wearing his safety device, and Blue was not.
This accident was investigated by Master Sergeant D.B. Pounds of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G.
