MDHEWD Launches Free Online Courses

The Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development (MDHEWD) has launched three new free online courses in partnership with Coursera to help Missourians strengthen their job readiness and personal finance skills. Participants will earn Missouri-endorsed certificates upon course completion.

Priority Pet Care – Make An Appointment

  • Missouri Job Ready Day One – Teaches essential workplace skills such as communication, time management, problem solving, and teamwork.
  • Basic Financial Literacy – Focuses on managing personal finances, budgeting, saving, and financial planning.
  • Job Search Skills & Success – Covers strategies for networking, job searching, résumé writing, and interview preparation.

These self-paced courses are accessible via mobile devices, allowing learners to study anytime, anywhere. Participants can also combine all three courses to earn a Missouri Career Success Certificate.

Eligible Missourians can apply for the free courses at jobs.mo.gov/coursera. Once the application is submitted, a job center representative will assist with enrollment.
