Houston, MO. – A man from Mountain Grove is facing a sentence of 15 years in prison with a year in jail due to the results of a 2024 event where he shot a teen.
Wayne Jay Beck, 61, of Mountain Grove received his sentence February 20th in Texas County Circuit Court as a result of domestic assault. In the original event, Beck was in an arguement with the teenage victim before fetching a firearm, striking the victim with in, and then shooting the victim as the arguement continued.

The victim was seen at Texas County Memorial Hospital, where they were treated for a firearm wound that went through their arm and into their torso.
