MSHP Announces Results of Annual School Bus Inspections

The Missouri State Highway Patrol, in order to emphasize safety for all schools across the state, performs yearly inspections on buses that are used to transport children. The most recent inspections have been completed, and the results are now available to the public.

In the 2024 school bus inspection period, over 11,000 Missouri school buses were inspected. Over 10,000 received a passing grade, 895 received a defective grade, and 410 were designated out-of-service.

In our area, the West Plains High School was reported to have had a 92% passing grade, the Willow Springs and Mountain View/Birch Tree Schools had 100% passing grades, and Houston had a 93.7% passing grade.
