Willow Springs, MO – Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop G has reported their 19th fatality for 2021 with the death of a Mountain Grove woman. The accident occurred 5:30 p.m. September 12 on private property off of County Road 150, seven miles south of Mountain Grove in Douglas County. A 2001 Polaris Sportsman 400 driven by Karla Besson, 53 of Mountain Grove, traveled off an embankment and overturned, ejecting Besson from the vehicle. Besson was not wearing a safety device.
Karla Besson was pronounced dead at the scene by Douglas County Deputy Sam Evans at 7 p.m.

This is the 19th fatality for Troop G compared to 28 for the same time period last year.
