Doniphan, MO. – Multiple serious injuries between both adults and juveniles have been confirmed in a three-vehicle accident near Doniphan, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
This accident happened in Ripley County on Missouri 142, around 4 miles east of Doniphan. According to the report, a Ram 1500 truck struck a Chevy Impala, which disabled it, leading to it being struck by another vehicle, a Chevy Tahoe.
While multiple injuries have been reported, three people have been identified as having been inflicted with injuries labeled serious in nature. An eight-year-old male from the Impala, a twelve-year-old female in the Tahoe, and another passenger of the Tahoe, Jessica Casteel, 34 of Doniphan. Air ambulance services were additionally employed to transport the eight-year-old juvenile to Region One Health in Memphis, TN. for the extent of their injuries.
Additionally injured was the driver of the Ram, John Payne, 42 of Horseshoe Bend, AR., and the driver of the Tahoe, Heath Casteel, 34 of Doniphan. All injured save for the eight-year-old were transported to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical for further treatment. Several of those injured are reported to have not been wearing their safety devices.
