New Charges in Asbury Case After Identity of Remains Were Confirmed

The skeletal remains recovered during the execution of a search warrant on March 10,
2026, from a residence on Lundy Road have been scientifically confirmed as Ceasar Asbury
based on dental comparison performed by the St. Louis County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Additional information and evidence were presented to the Texas County Prosecuting
Attorney. Based on that information, Texas County Prosecuting Attorney Parke Stevens has
filed additional charges against Chaun and Tamla Asbury. Chaun Asbury is charged with
Murder 2nd Degree, Abuse or Neglect of a Child Resulting in Death, Domestic Assault 1st
Degree (3 counts), Abandonment of a Corpse, Abuse or Neglect of a Child (8 counts). Tamla Asbury is charged with Murder 2nd Degree, Abuse or Neglect of a Child Resulting in Death, Domestic Assault 1st Degree (3 counts), Abandonment of a Corpse, Abuse or Neglect of a Child (8 counts). Chaun and Tamla Asbury are being held in the Texas County Jail on no bond warrants per Judge Fox.

The above charges are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in
support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
