The year of 2025 is winding down to its final two months now, and that means winter weather is inevitably on its way. We’ve already seen our first frosts of the season, and more is likely to follow. With that being said, the National Weather Service is running Winter Weather Preparedness Week, today through Friday.
The National Weather Service’s Meteorologist Kyle Perez has more:
Today is a reminder on Terminology and Products used in describing winter weather.

Tuesday there will be information on general good practice when it comes to ice storms and ice safety. Wednesday will be a focus on the effects of snow and good tips to remember. Thursday’s subject will be on extreme cold and wind chills, and what to do if you experience these for prolonged periods. Lastly, Friday will be focused on having a plan in the case of severe weather, and how to get additional information.
We will post information relayed from the NWS as the week progresses.
