OHRC topic of Nov. 5 Friends of the Garnett Library meeting

WEST PLAINS, Mo. – The new Ozarks Heritage Resource Center (OHRC) at Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP) will be the topic of the Nov. 5 meeting of the Friends of the Garnett Library.

OHRC advisory committee members Professor of English Frank Priest, Associate Professor of History Dr. Jason McCollom and Director of Library Services Rebekah McKinney will provide an overview of the center and discuss its history and future pojections and goals. They also will make available some of the center’s current holdings.

The center, which is housed on the lower level of the Garnett Library, is expected to open in 2022.

The meeting will take place from noon to 1 p.m. on the patio at Kellett Hall, 905 W. Main St., on the MSU-WP campus. Parking is available in the Kellett Hall parking lot. 

Cost of the box lunch is $10, payable at the door. Those wishing to eat should make a reservation by calling 417-255-7940 or emailing FriendsofGarnettLibrary@MissouriState.edu by noon Wednesday, Nov. 3.
