Overnight Substation Maintenance to Cause Planned Outage for 885 HOEC Members

Howell‑Oregon Electric Cooperative says Sho‑Me Power, its wholesale energy provider, will conduct overnight substation maintenance next Monday into Tuesday, resulting in a planned outage for members served by the Cull Substation. The work is scheduled to begin at 11 p.m. Monday and continue until 3 a.m. Tuesday.

The Cull Substation sits between East 160 and Route ZZ in eastern Howell County and serves 885 members across a wide stretch—from Peace Valley and White Church to the north, down through areas east of Brandsville, including Rover, and further into Oregon County along CR 323 and CR 321.

Members affected by the outage will receive notifications through the SmartHub app if they are enrolled, or by phone call or message if their contact information on file is current.

HOEC says the overnight timing is intended to minimize disruption. Routine maintenance like this, the cooperative notes, helps Sho‑Me Power and HOEC maintain system reliability and reduce the likelihood of future outages.
