Oregon County road 422 remains closed as crews construct a new road, Jake Parker, Oregon County Commissioner Provided an update:
Crews have made significant progress on the elevation phase of the CR 422 flood mitigation project. At this time, the road remains closed to all but local traffic. A single lane along the river is currently available for passage—please use caution when navigating this route.
Out of respect for private property owners, I kindly ask that you refrain from crossing through private land to bypass construction. Your cooperation helps maintain strong community relationships and ensures safety for all.
Engineering and survey work is actively underway for the remainder of the project. We’re working diligently to finalize all necessary documentation for submission to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. These efforts are aimed at reducing future flood risks in the town of Thomasville.
