Pontiac, MO. – A man from Pontiac has been arrested on charges of 2nd Degree Assault and 1st Degree Stalking with no bond.
The Ozark County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on Missouri Route W on August 14, 2022 for a woman being assaulted. Upon arrived to the residence, the Deputy on-scene met with a female who had visible injuries, including a black eye and abrasions on her neck.
According to reports, the female stated that Jeffery Pine of Pontiac MO, has shoved her to the ground, struck her, and choked her previously. In the most recent incident, he had struck her again after tackling her to the ground after she attempted to flee from him.
Upon contacting Pine, he refused to leave his residence, and after a short stand-off with containment measures, exited and was taken into custody.
