JEFFERSON CITY, MO. – State Representative Bennie Cook, and other members of the Missouri House of Representatives continue celebrating FFA Week at the Missouri State Capitol. One of the highlights of the week is Drive Your Tractor to Work Day, where FFA members from across the state gather in Jefferson City to honor and support Missouri’s rich agricultural heritage.
Cook, R-Houston, stated, “It was an honor to welcome students from the 143rd District FFA Chapters of Vienna, Belle, and Mountain Grove to the Capitol for this special day.” He continued, “FFA encourages our youth to develop leadership skills, and I am proud to support this important program and the future of Missouri agriculture.”
Cook also expressed gratitude to those who continue supporting agricultural education in Missouri. “Thank you, Governor Mike Kehoe, Missouri Department of Agriculture Director Chris Chinn, and the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Commissioner Karla Eslinger for all you do to support this industry and the Missouri FFA.”
Agriculture is a top economic industry in Missouri, and Representative Cook stands by the commitment to ensure the continued success of education in these fields and in FFA membership in state schools and communities.
