According to VA officials, the site will offer both medical and mental health care, supported by updated technology and expanded specialty options, including the addition of the Cardio‑Vet program for coordinated heart care.

Leaders emphasized that the clinic represents a significant investment in the region and will help ensure Veterans receive timely, high‑quality care. The facility is intended to “deliver the right care, in the right place, at the right time,” strengthening support for eligible Veterans throughout southern Missouri.

A large crowd turned out for the ceremony, underscoring the community’s strong support for local Veterans and the expanded services now available in West Plains.
