Please beware of yet another scam that is going around, this time posing as the DMV and asking you to pay a traffic ticket or lose your license. This is a scam and you will not be reached by text in these cases.
We spoke with Chief of Police Daryl Childers from the Thayer Police Department who stated that they have been receiving numerous calls lately about these texts. Once again this is a scam, never give out personal information and do not click on the links as you can put your personal information at risk.
